I've just started a new job at Barco Aerospace in Kortrijk, Belgium. Barco is well known for its display and visualization products, and the Aerospace division focuses on avionics — cockpit displays, simulators, and related systems. It's an exciting new direction after working in the game industry.
OceanWaves 64-bit
On the side project front, I'm planning to release a 64-bit version of OceanWaves — my 3ds Max plugin for procedural ocean wave simulation. The current version supports Max 6 and Max 9 in 32-bit. With 64-bit versions of Max becoming more common I want to make sure OceanWaves keeps working.
The plugin is based on the Tessendorf ocean simulation model (the same approach used in films like Titanic and The Perfect Storm) and generates animated wave surfaces with physically plausible behaviour driven by wind direction and speed parameters.
More details on the plugin on the OceanWaves page.
