I'm currently working at Splash Damage in London as a graphics programmer on this title. ET:QW is a team-based multiplayer shooter set in the Quake universe, built on an enhanced id Tech 4 engine. The game features large outdoor environments and — most relevantly to my work — some interesting graphics challenges including the virtual texturing system and the outdoor terrain rendering.
It's exciting to see the game announced publicly and the website up. More details will follow as the project progresses toward release.
